Hours of Operation

Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. We are open all year round except for the following holidays:

• New Years Day
• Martin Luther King Day
• President's Day
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Nevada Day
• Thanksgiving Day & the following Friday
• Christmas

Hill and Dale's History

During the formation of Community Lutheran Church, a group of concerned mothers worked hard to establish a child care center in the church facilities. On February 3, 1975, Hill and Dale was opened to serve the residents of Paradise Valley and the Las Vegas area as well as to make use of the church building during the week. In February of 1977, the infant building was opened, expanding the services of Hill and Dale to 11 classrooms serving birth through pre-k. Hill and Dale is a DBA of Community Lutheran Church which is a 503(C) B non-profit.

The Philosophy

The goal of our program is to provide a safe, loving, caring, healthy, and positive environement with maximum opportunity for children to reach their full potential in all areas of development. Children will learn socialization through spiritual guidance, be presented the opportunity for emotional and physical growth, and be encouraged in the areas of language, creativity, and cognitive skills. Children are accepted for their uniqueness and individuality.

Our Curriculum

We use the HighScope Curriculum along with the HighScope Child Observation Record (COR) to collect anecdotes and assess and assess each child. We also use the COR to create daily lesson plans and build on the child's strengths to scaffold them to the next level of learning. If a child is over 2.5 years old and is at the center 12+ waking hours each weak, we can invite parents to access this information over the internet.
